Kenny King Congas and Utility Percussion, born in Dallas, Texas, has had music in his veins at an early age.

He attended Lee College in Baytown, TX. as well as Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. where he performed with the Pyramid Jazz Ensemble.

Kenny has performed with, David “Fathead” Neuman, Red Garland, James Clay, Marchel Ivery, Roger Boykin, Sonny Stitt, Roland Kirk, The Jazz Creators, Warm Excursions, The New Energy Show Band, Pecos River Brass, Clave Con Alma, Paul Salos, Drenda Barnett and Breggett Rideau. He also can be heard on Jazz Mark Records and Tantara Records performing with Dallas’ Original Jazz Orchestra.

His hobbies include being a master woodsman in making specialty clocks and also working on music projects in his home recording studio.
